Though we have had sporadic snowfall this winter, our three heavy snowfalls have accumulated a base up to five feet deep in the higher and remoter terrain of the Bitterroot Mountains. Out skiing at some familiar terrain at Downing mountain recently, we had a great photo shoot with decent light and good athletes. Thanks Jenny for these photos. With the last storm before New Years a  big one, with up to 5 inches of SWE, we accumulate snow fast when the weather cooperates. Winter is still working into action and should make an impressive show shortly, that’s my guess.
